Dealers

Every listing on this site names the dealership selling it and states our relationship to them. Here is what those labels mean and why we draw the distinction so firmly.

Three relationships, three behaviours

Marketplaces that blur the line between inventory they represent and inventory they have merely indexed make themselves look larger and serve buyers worse. We label each listing, and the label changes what the page does.

Preferred Owned

This vehicle is offered by a preferred local partner dealership. Your enquiry goes directly to that dealership.

  • Primary action: “Check Availability”
  • Exact-vehicle enquiries: accepted

Participating Partner

This vehicle is offered by a participating partner dealership. Your enquiry goes to that dealership, which is the seller of record.

  • Primary action: “Check Availability”
  • Exact-vehicle enquiries: accepted

External Reference

This listing is shown for reference from an outside source. It is not sold by SoCal Work Trucks or any partner dealership, and we cannot confirm its current availability or price. Contact the original seller directly.

  • Primary action: “View Original Listing” — links to the seller
  • Exact-vehicle enquiries: never accepted

The rule we will not bend

A buyer’s enquiry about a specific vehicle never goes to a dealership that does not have that vehicle. It wastes the buyer’s time, it misrepresents the relationship, and it is the single fastest way for a marketplace to become useless. Where we cannot help directly, we link out and say so.

Dealer priority in search results

Preferred partner inventory appears ahead of other listings in our default ordering. That is a commercial arrangement and we would rather state it plainly than let you discover it. Within each tier, the sort you choose governs — ask for cheapest first and you get cheapest first.

Sponsored placement, where it exists, is labelled on the listing itself rather than disclosed only in small print here.

For dealerships

If you sell commercial vehicles in Southern California and want your inventory represented properly here — with your name on it and enquiries reaching your commercial desk rather than a general contact form — see become a partner.
