Accessibility

We target the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 at Level AA. That is the standard we build and review against. We have not commissioned an independent audit, so we describe it as our target rather than as certified conformance — claiming otherwise without the evidence would be exactly the kind of statement that makes accessibility policies worthless.

• Every page works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator.
• Headings are properly structured, and landmarks let a screen reader user skip to the content that matters.
• Images that carry meaning have descriptive alternative text. Images that are decorative are marked as such, so a screen reader does not announce something untrue about them.
• Colour is never the only way information is conveyed, and text meets contrast requirements against its background.
• The homepage carousel pauses on hover and focus, and does not auto-advance at all for anyone whose system requests reduced motion.
• Forms have real labels, and errors are described in text rather than by colour or position alone.
• Pages reflow to 400% zoom and work on small screens without horizontal scrolling.

Vehicle photographs come from sellers, and the alternative text we generate for them describes the vehicle rather than the specific image. It is accurate but less useful than a human description of that particular photograph would be.

Some data tables of vehicle specifications are dense, and while they are navigable we think they could be clearer at high zoom. We are working on it.

Describe the page and what happened, and mention the assistive technology and browser if you know them. We treat accessibility reports as bugs rather than as feedback, and we will tell you what we have done about it.
